Privacy Policy

The short version

• Everything you enter in Glow stays on your device.
• There is no Glow account, and we do not run servers that receive your data.
• We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and we never sell or share your information.
• You can delete all of your data at any time.

What Glow stores on your device

To work, Glow saves the information you choose to enter: the name you give it, your period start and end dates, flow, moods, symptoms, energy, sleep, water intake, pill taken, notes, your cycle and period length, your goal, and your app settings such as reminders and theme.

This information is stored privately inside the app on your phone. It is used only to show your calendar, predictions, insights, reminders and reports.

What Glow does not collect

Glow does not collect or transmit your health data, contacts, location, photos, device identifiers, advertising ID or usage analytics. Glow contains no third-party advertising or analytics tools.

Predictions and health information

Cycle, fertile window and ovulation predictions are calculated on your device from the information you enter. They are estimates, not medical advice, and must not be used as contraception or to diagnose any condition. Always speak to a qualified doctor about your health.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Glow schedules reminders (for example your period, water or pill) locally on your phone. They are created on the device and are not sent through any server.

Notification text can appear on your lock screen. You can change how reminders appear in your phone settings, or turn any reminder off in Glow under Reminders.

Doctor reports and sharing

When you create a doctor report, the PDF is generated on your device. It only leaves your phone if you choose to share it, and it goes only where you send it, for example by email or a messaging app. Once shared, that copy is handled under the privacy terms of the app or service you sent it with.

The same applies when you share a quote or invite a friend.

Device backups

If your phone's own backup is turned on (such as Google backup on Android or iCloud on iPhone), your phone may include Glow's data in that backup. These backups are made by your phone's system, stored under your Google or Apple account, and are not accessible to The Lumen Circle. You can manage them in your phone's settings.

Keeping your data safe

Your data is protected by your phone's own security. We recommend using a screen lock (PIN, password, fingerprint or face unlock), especially if others use your phone.

Deleting your data

You can erase everything at any time from Profile > Delete all my data. Uninstalling Glow also removes all of its data from your phone. Because we do not store your data, deleted data cannot be recovered by us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws (such as the GDPR) give you rights to access, correct and delete your personal data. As your data is held only on your device, you can view, edit and delete it directly in the app at any time. If you have any questions about your rights, contact us using the details below.

Young people

Glow is designed to help people of all ages understand their cycle, including teenagers. Because Glow does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone. If you are under the age required in your country to agree to data processing, please use Glow with the support of a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

If Glow ever adds features that work differently, for example optional accounts or cloud backup, we will update this policy before that change and tell you in the app. The effective date at the top always shows the latest version.
